This Brigg Scientific Client are a Dry Food Manufacturing company based in West Yorkshire.
The site runs a 24/7 manufacturing operation and has 220 people on site.
They are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager to work out of the West Yorkshire site.
The role objective is to develop, co-ordinate and implement product quality assurance and to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.
Key duties include:
- Manager all direct reports delivering a key focus on key performance areas
- Managing procedures for manufacturing methods, ie HACCP, GMP and safety
- Setting expectations of performance, behaviour, discipline and attendance within the team
- Review of current methods and procedures to ensure there is a continuous improvement attitude to Direct cost, quality, service, hygiene, safety and production rates.
- Responsibility for all raw materials, finished goods and microbiological QA laboratory resources
- Development and implementation of effective QA programmes
- Specification control
- Keeping up to date with government and industry legislation
- Budget control for the QC department
- Maintain Quality Management Systems
- Coordinate period end stock assessments
- Coordinating supplier audits
This role reports directly into the senior corporate structure and works very closely with the Production Manager.
It goes without saying that this will be a driven individual, who has a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
