**Skills Training UK **have an exciting opportunity for an **Employer Officer **to join our team based in **Birmingham **who will be responsible for sourcing and securing new work experience placement, apprenticeship, and employment opportunities with suitable employers. You will join us on a **full time, permanent** basis and in return, you will receive a** competitive salary of up to £30,000 per annum.**

**The Employer Officer role**:
This role will require someone who is confident in establishing relationships with suitable employers across the UK for the purposes of developing opportunities for learners on our range of programmes. You will need to be a confident communicator, highly enthusiastic, and motivated in ensuring that our learners have the best employment opportunities dependent on the nature of their specific programmes.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Sourcing of potential new employers who can offer suitable work experience placement and employment opportunities, in-line with Centre, learner and programme needs.
- Maintain communication with other Employer Officers to ensure maximum usage of opportunities for our learners.
- Maintain relationships and regular contact with current employers so new placement and positive destination opportunities can be sourced and shared with Centres for matching.
- Ensure sufficient opportunities are sourced to cater for all learners
- Ensure learners are fully prepared for interviews with the employer (and be prepared to assist where required).
- Develop relationships with colleges and apprenticeship providers to support the learners’ journey into work experience or a positive destination with them.
- Ensure Centres are supporting Learners in work placements to ensure they are safe and well, and are having a valuable experience.
- Respond to any issues which may arise with Learners and employers during work placement periods and refer to the relevant Centre Manager where necessary.
**What we’re looking for in our Employer Officer**:
- Previous experience working with organisations such as Ofsted, Connexions, and the National Careers Service and/or equivalent agencies
- Prior experience of placing young people into employment
- Prior experience of working with young people
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Drive to deliver results and demonstrate proactivity
- Possess knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection process
- Prior experience in a Sales environment (meeting company set targets)
- Level 2 (e.g. GCSE or equivalent) qualification in English and maths
- Experience of organising workloads; determining priorities and meeting deadlines
