**IT Buying Officer**

**London - hybrid working**

**£30,000 - £33,000**

A leading educational institute based in London is currently recruiting for an IT Buying Officer who will play a major role in the delivery of IT projects including purchasing IT Hardware, software and services to ensure that the projects needs are met. Alongside purchasing you will need to take into consideration price, quality and delivery to ensure consistency of supply.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.
- Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best and most cost-effective frameworks, contracts and deals.
- Maintaining records for all orders, payments and received stock, Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.
- Coordination of all deliveries, and following up on delays or rescheduled deliveries, ensure orders/stock are delivered and checked in to the appropriate location in a timely manner and maintain accurate delivery when part shipments are made.
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedure and UK-Only tendering service.
- Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules in line with company, as well as well as running queries on orders placed.
- Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation.
- Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance.
- Ensure a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships, vendors and customers.
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.
- Flexible approach to working hours.

**Skills**
- Relevant procurement certification preferred.
- Experience of providing customer-focused and effective IT buying services covering a range of IT workplace assets, products, and services, including hardware/software, Licensing, and support services.
- Good knowledge of IT purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown.
- Experience of build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
- that add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements.
- Experience in negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
- Using organisation skills to maintain meticulous purchasing, shipping, and receiving records.
