We’re currently recruiting for a new locum opportunity based in the**East Midlands region cities **. You will be working as a Locum **Consultant Emergency Medicine **, for an NHS Trust. For this role the individual must have relevant previous experience working in this type of position.

Over 6 months experience in the NHS

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

**Professional Qualifications**

**Essential**
- Primary medical qualification
- FRCEM
- Entry on Specialist register or in receipt of CCT within 6 months of interview

**Desirable**
- Recognised as Educational Supervisor with GMC

**Experience**

**Essential**
- Completion of specialist training in Emergency Medicine or Completion of CESR
- Evidence of achievement of CT1/2/3 ACS Emergency Medicine competences And Completion or equivalent experience to ST4 - ST6 Emergency Medicine Training
- ALS, EPALS / APLS, ATLS/ETC

**Knowledge and skills**

**Essential**
- Competent in all aspects of RCEM Curriculum including relevant clinical procedures
- Able to prioritise clinical needs, time and workload
- Understand the importance of effective team working
- Ability to assess, recognise and initial management of the acutely ill patient and play an effective part in advanced life support
- Knowledge of UK health systems, practices, and values
- Computer Literate
- Ability to practice evidence-based medicine
- Evidence of continued professional development

- Evidence of Special Interest relevant to personal or professional development

**Professionalism**
