Do you want to gain experience as a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant practitioner and be involved in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients who have complex physical and cognitive needs?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work alongside experienced physiotherapy clinicians in the area of rehabilitation and discharge planning at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon in Mountain Ash.
You will carry out treatment programs under the guidance of a registered therapist in order to provide rehabilitation and other interventions to facilitate their safe discharge. Clerical and administration tasks will also be undertaken (e.g. keeping records, filing, photocopying). You will be expected to work independently.
A positive and organized approach to rehabilitation is essential. Good communication skills and commitment to team working within a safe, empathetic and supportive environment are also needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who has previous experience as a therapy or rehabilitation assistant in an NHS or care setting.
