Role: Financial Accountant

Contract: 15 month FTC

**Salary**: £32,000

Location: Cannock/Hybrid working from home

**As a Financial Accountant you will be responsible for;**
- Stock reconciliation and production of Sales Analysis for New Equipment Sales.
- Maintenance of non fleet fixed asset register, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly with the necessary authorisations including the calculation of the monthly depreciation charge to the profit and loss account.
- MOD accounting. Conversion from finance lease to operating lease, supporting fixed asset registers and monthly recode journals
- Calculate monthly deferral and accrual adjustments for revenue
- Responsible for the processing and reconciliation of allocated general ledger accounts including accruals and prepayments such as utilities, rent and rates etc.
- Assist with the quarterly England and Wales balance sheet reviews and preparation of the reserves schedule
- Monthly car and van recode including Q VAT, VAT Scale charges and CO2 emission reporting
- Assist with Audit requests for our quarterly and yearly external audits
- Focus on continuous improvement to enhance processes within the General Ledger team as necessary
- Other ad-hoc finance duties as required and providing additional support to the Finance team

**As a Financial Accountant you will demonstrate;**
- GSCE standard including maths and english
- Experience working in a pressured finance environment
- Significant experience of adhering to tight deadlines
- Experience of being diligent, accurate and detailed
- Significant organization skills
- Microsoft Office skills, experience of extensively using Excel
- Examples of teamwork and ability to work independently
- Interpersonal skills with other functions e.g. Used Equipment
- Experience in pure finance activities: prepayments, accruals and reconciliations
