**The Role**

We are currently looking for exceptional people to join our team and have a great opportunity for a Reception Supervisor.

At Hotel Gotham we don’t discourage a little bit of decadence. After all, we’ve yet to meet the guest who books into a 5-star hotel with the aim of behaving better than they do at home.

Each of our 55 bedrooms and five Inner Sanctum Suites is a full-on sensory experience. Everything the guests see and everything they touch, from the extravagantly opulent linen to the brass and leather of the fittings, is designed to make them sigh with satisfaction.

As our Reception Supervisor you will set the stage for a sumptuous hotel experience offering opulence and luxury. Give our guests the amazing VIP treatment from when the curtain lifts on entry to the hotel, along with during hotel check in and departure. You must be fully flexible working 5 over 7 days and a variety of daytime or evening shifts.

As a Reception Supervisor you will be responsible for maximising room revenues in line with the Company’s standards, providing efficient and courteous service, to ensure total guest satisfaction and support the Front of House Manager running the daily operation of Reception.

**Key Responsibilities of the role**:

- To be familiar with the days business, including arrivals, departures, and special requests.
- Deal with guests promptly upon arrival and departure, as per Company Standards for check in and out procedures.
- To have a good understanding of the guests’ requirements when they are checking in or out.
- To ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in accordance with company Policy.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as local area. Therefore, ensuring our guests are assisted effectively.
- Keeping the team up to date by attending the daily meetings.
- Maximise sales through up-selling, using incentives and promotions
- Ensure all customer enquiries and requests for bookings are dealt with promptly, courteously and efficiently
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints
- Professionally and competently operates the telephone system in line with both operating and Company Standards.

**Requirements of the role**:

- To have worked in a supervisory or team leader role within a hotel reception.
- Excellent Customer service skills, to be able to follow standards and to have good organisational skills.
- To be able to make decisions in a fast paced environment and to enjoy it
- To be able to communicate well to each other and guests
- Be able to use a phone and computer system.
