Our Trading Assistant teams supports our sales and/or trading desks across all asset classes. They are notably responsible for trade capture and resolving trade discrepancies. The team also liaises between trading, trade support, sales, counterparties, counterparty credit, operations, and compliance. This function is also involved in the introduction and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of new initiatives, systems, and process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance controls. This role requires product knowledge of financial instruments relevant to the area supported and across related asset classes.

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting the trading team in executing foreign exchange (FX), fixed income and over-the-counter (OTC) derivative transactions, including confirmations, risk limits, reporting and analytics
- Supporting trade capture and resolving trade discrepancies
- Collaborating with senior desk heads, compliance, supervision, and risk to ensure procedures are compliant and up to date
- In depth knowledge of currencies, fixed income and over-the-counter (OTC) derivative products
- Familiarity with trade capture, documentation, settlement processes, and other requirements (regulatory, market risk, credit) for trading various FICC products
- Basic understanding of FICC regulatory environment and industry initiatives

**What we are looking for**
- 2+ years of trading floor or operations experience
- Outstanding problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong operational processing and risk control skills including the ability to build well-controlled spreadsheets and source appropriate and meaningful data
- Be enthusiastic, keen to learn and quick to gain an understanding of complex issues and concepts
- Take personal responsibility for delivering high quality work and have a track record of outperformance and delivery
- Be able to design and produce insightful regular reports and drive continuous improvement in these reports
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment - both work closely with senior members of the team and work independently
- Operates with urgency at all times
