About the Team
TikTok Shop is a fast-growing global E-commerce platform attached to one of the world's most popular entertainment apps. There are many legal and regulatory obligations that we must comply with under the United Kingdom and European Union regimes: consumer protection, online selling and marketing, privacy and personal data protection and KYC obligations are some of the salient examples.

**Responsibilities**:

- Quickly understand the regulatory framework and obligations of our E-Commerce business and the reason for these obligations.
- Know how to keep up to date, develop a framework for tracking and updating applicable obligations.
- Understand market practice in the UK and EU, know who the main market participants are, and how they interpret their obligations.
- Quickly understand our business lines, review proposed business actions, and work with our functional teams to identify potentially non-compliant activities and understand their consequences. Where possible, devise and implement compliant solutions.
- Closely partner with stakeholders, understand objectives and incentives of different stakeholders, explain compliance obligations, propose solutions, and monitor actual compliance status and report and escalate any issues.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a compliance/legal role within tech, consulting, or law firms; e-commerce-related compliance experience is preferred.
- Familiar with content-based e-commerce, have a certain sense of the control and management regulations and laws of e-commerce with accumulated and formed personal point of view; it is a plus if majored in compliance-related direction.
- Proven excellent project management ability to organize, execute, manage, and coordinate programs.
- Proactive, patient and meticulous in work; have a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork spirit, comprehensive and systematic analysis and control ability; good at cross-functional communication.
