Bartington Instruments Ltd is looking to recruit a Quality Inspector reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager.

The Role:
To ensure conformity of products by inspecting parts, products and processes. Investigate, audit, report and assist in the resolution of nonconformances.

Main Duties:

- Inspection and testing of electronic and mechanical products to applicable specifications
- Goods inward, in process and outward inspection
- Investigating nonconformities to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
- Carrying out internal audits with respect to ISO 9001:2015.
- Training of technicians and assemblers on quality matters as required
- Controlling and writing quality documents and reports as required
- Other duties as required by a Manager or Director of the Company

Skills and Experience:

- Highly skilled in interpreting technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, quality plans, specifications and procedures)
- Experience of inspecting and testing electronics instrumentation and mechanical inspection
- Good soldering inspection skills
- Experience of nonconformity investigation, analysis, follow up and reporting
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Advantageous:

- Formal qualification in electronics
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015

Hours and Salary
- This position is for a 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday.
- Salary £26,000 to £32,000 p.a. depending on experience.
