Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Finance Analyst who will have responsibility for consolidation reporting for part of the Group, ensuring that Sector finance leadership are provided with timely and accurateinformation to support their evaluation and decision making.
Rate: £411.63/day PAYE - £535.85/day Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Location: Wigmore Street, London (remote with occasional visits to the office)
Duration: 6 Months (1 Month notice period)
Requirements: BPSS Clearance required
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities are expected to change over time as the FBS team, but initial areas include:

- 'End to end' extraction of data from underlying ledgers, mapping to consolidated reporting, loading BPC and reviewing for erroneous data and errors.
- Coordination of extraction of data from underlying ledgers and other sources such as payroll, pensions and customer receipts
- Build and maintain cash forecast models for discussion with the business facing finance teams and to support cash review process
- Interrogation of monthly result to produce high quality variance analysis in conjunction with Sector / Business finance teams and submission of financial reporting packs. Will require attendance in Sector reviews, and provision of the data to support suchmeetings.
- Develop and maintain financial models and reports for Business, Sector and Group requirements
- Support the collation of the budget for the business using inputs from the business facing finance teams and other FBS departments
- Support continuous improvement projects as required
Technical Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Qualified accountant
- Strong experience in understanding and manipulating data to present clear and concise financial messages for review
Desirable
- Strong stakeholder management and network building
- finance skills - proven ability to understand and interpret accounting principles (being able to explain technical accounting to non-technical, non-financial staff)
- Consolidation reporting experience
