Junior Insolvency Administrator

Ballard Business Recovery (BBR) is a growing and ambitious insolvency boutique based in the heart of Lichfield. BBR provides advisory and restructuring services to businesses in financial distress, which is often a pre-cursor to a formal insolvency process. We also assist with the orderly closure of successful businesses.

**Job description**

**The Role**
- Creation and maintenance of working files
- Answering correspondence in a timely manner
- Data input
- Drafting standard correspondence and documentation for approval
- Answering telephone calls
- Preparing and posting reports where required
- Taxation returns
- Overseeing the closure process across the practice
- Assisting with the day-to-day cashiering function
- Managing a portfolio of insolvency cases.
- Liaising with creditors, employees and other parties affected by insolvency.
- Reporting directly to the Insolvency Practitioner on case strategy and progression.
- Working with agents to dispose of assets and collect debts, where necessary.
- Investigating the financial affairs and transactions of insolvent companies and the conduct of directors.
- Payment of dividends to creditors.
- Liaising with directors to prepare statements of affairs and financial reports.

At BBR we believe in training our team from the initial basics, through to professional accountancy and insolvency qualifications. Some experience or knowledge of insolvency, accountancy or other financial services is desirable but not essential.

**_Requirements: _**
- You will be interested in a career in insolvency with a willingness to learn quickly.
- Numerically proficient.
- A Levels - minimum grades A-C (or hold an equivalent qualification).
- You will have good people and communication skills.
- You must work well in a team and be enthusiastic.
- You must be prepared and willing to work full time (9-5 Mon-Fri) at our offices based in Lichfield.

**_Preferable (but not essential): _**
- A clean UK driving licence.
- A basic understanding of what insolvency is.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £20,000.00 per year
