Jointers Mate

Due to rapid growth, we are currently recruiting for an additional Jointers mate.

PHD deal with aspects of installations, from temporary site set-ups to full site installations, MCCB panel boards to socket outlets, earthing testing and inspecting. Cable joints and terminations are a fundamental component of power distribution, therefore the integrity of any system is reliant on their quality and reliability.

**Duties includes**:

- Support Jointer with electrical installations.
- To undertake tasks as instructed by the Jointer on electricity networks from making LV services to HV connections and making sure scheduled works are completed safely, to specification, and in accordance with our customer requirements.
- Assist in coordination of onsite electrical works to ensure full compliance with all Safety Rules, Policies and Procedures
- Supporting the Jointer with electrical connections including LV and HV.
- Assisting with cable testing.
- Making off service terminations and general housekeeping of the company vehicle and work areas.
- Completing work to the correc specifications.
- Correct use of tools, plant, and PPE.
- Salary £24.500 - £26,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Overtime, paid accommodation, and £25 nightly allowance for overnight stays
- Door-to-door rate

- Be prepared to spend at least 3 nights away per week

Be willing to work towards/hold:

- 18th edition
- Level 3 NVQ
