This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice to join the Field team and to undertake a Level 3 Support Technician Apprenticeship.
**Aspire Technology Solutions** are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice with an appetite for IT and a positive attitude to be based at their new offices at Pipewell Quay on Gateshead’s Quayside. They’re looking for someone who is looking to begin their career in IT, who is comfortable talking to people, confident, friendly and has a great attitude to work. You will ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to all their customers and you will be working with some of the latest technology systems.
In this role, you’ll work towards your **Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification **delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
**A Typical Day in the Job**:
**Service Desk Team**:
- Travelling to customer's sites nationwide for break-fix and chargeable issues
- Assisting field engineers in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues
- Installing and upgrading server and desktop hardware
- Assisting in project work
- Assisting in installing and migrating customer networking equipment
- Supporting the field team configuring laptops, phones, routers etc
- Work on support tickets and provide support to senior field engineers
**Technical Services Team**:
- Assisting consultants in the planning, implementation and migration of infrastructure and supporting systems
- Maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies relevant to the role
- Communication with Project Managers and customers to ensure they are kept abreast of project delivery
- Assisting consultants to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard
- Attending customers sites to complete projects as required with direction from their consultants
- Assisting consultants with the configuration and installation of hardware on customer sites of data centres
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

**Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge**:
- A passion for IT and new technologies
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Well organised
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Good attention to detail
- Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving licence is required
- Grade 4/C in Maths and English GCSE or Functional skills equivalent

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualifications and experience you need to immerse yourself in an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective **IT Support Technician.**
