The Finance Assistant position is part of the wider Group’s Finance Team and will support all sites and locations within the business.

This role will ensure all finance related day to day operational duties and tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and on time. As well as cash handling/banking, processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs and maintaining the finance system, this role will also prepare and complete financial reports as and when required.

As the business grows, the Finance Assistant will also be instrumental in terms of supporting the integration of new sites and acquisitions to ensure all finance related processes and procedures are rolled out consistently.

**1. Operational Duties & Tasks**
- Ensure all invoices are sent to Xero for processing for all group entities
- Code and process all invoices accurately for approval
- Handle and deal with supplier and finance queries
- Create and send invoices for third party revenue streams such as events
- Ensure Xero is maintained and updated at all times
- Cashing up all tills on a daily basis
- Set up bank payments as required on the following basis:

- Wednesday for the weekly Friday payment run
- Monthly for the supplier payment run
- Weekly/monthly for the payroll payments
- Ad-hoc payments as and when required
- Actualise daily cash flow projections on a weekly basis for all group company bank accounts

**2. Financial Reporting**
- Bank Reconciliation
- Key supplier statement reconciliation
- Prepare financial reports as and when required
- Support and assist with departmental and site budgets reports in line with the annual budget process

**3. Memberships (where relevant)**
- Manage and oversee the annual membership renewal process
- Ensure all invoices are sent to members in a timely manner
- Deal with membership payments and ensure all membership fees are paid on time
- Set up direct debit payments for members
- Manage and oversee the membership joiner and leaver process
- Ensure all membership administration is completed accurately
- Deal with any membership fee queries

**4. Compliance**
- Ensure compliance in relation to GDPR when dealing with membership and guest personal details
- Removal of historic personal information in line with GDPR rules and regulations
- Follow cash handling and banking procedures and processes

**5. General Administration & Adhoc Duties**
- Answering the telephone
- Open physical mail and letters
- Scan important letters to the relevant members of the team as and when required
- Support in the Golf Club on an ad-hoc basis as and when required

**6. Health & Safety**
- Responsible for complying with the company policy regarding Health & Safety
- Ensure job role is performed safely inline with the standard operating procedure and any specific safety controls
- Ensure hygiene standards are adhered to in specific work area
- Report any Health & Safety issues, potential hazards, accidents or near misses to your Line Manager, Duty Manager or member of the Management team immediately

**The job holder will perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by a Director of the business.**

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£29,500.00 per year
