Reed Engineering have partnered with an innovative Berkshire 3D Printing company to recruit for a Quality Inspector
The primary role of the Quality Inspector is to ensure the parts manufactured conform to customer requirements and to the quality standards/certificates they are produced under. The quality inspector will be responsible for visually inspecting, measuringand testing parts/materials, ensuring that every part that leaves the facility is of the highest quality and reflects the ethos of the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Measure parts using various pieces of metrology equipment (Vernier callipers, height gauges etc.)
- Undertake visual inspection of 3d printed parts
- Undertake material testing (Tensile testing/Melt Flow Indexing)
- Complete and create inspection reports (FAIRs etc.)
- Create non-conformance reports
- Analysis of non-conformances
- Implementation of corrective and preventative actions
- Creation of quality procedures
- Management and upkeep of quality documentation using QPulse
- Management and upkeep of quality inspection equipment (organising maintenance, calibration etc.)
Languages & Qualifications:
- English, Maths, and science to a good competence level (GCSE or equivalent)
- Other spoken languages are desirable but not essential
- A-Level or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering/design
- Quality qualifications are desirable but not essential (CQI & IRCA certified)
Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience in measuring and inspecting polymer components (desirable)
- In-depth understanding of GD&T (desirable)
- Competent and experienced in using metrology equipment
- Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, ideally with experience of Additive Manufacturing.
- Experience in a manufacturing/ engineering environment is essential
- IT literate and competent with using Microsoft Office packages, Microsoft NAV 365, Knowledge of CAD software packages is also desirable

**Salary**:
£25,000 - £30,000 (dependant on experience) + company bonus scheme
