Sales Ledger Analyst

Location: Castle Cary - Hybrid working - 2-3 days in the office

Pay rate: £28,000 per annum + 8-10% bonus

Duration: 12 months (Fixed term contract)

Position Summary:
The Sales Ledger Analyst is a key member of the Accounts Receivables team, supporting in all aspects of day to day running of the Group Sales Ledger function.

The team oversees in excess of £25m in cash collections each month with very low delinquency.

You will report to the Group Accounts Receivable Manager and may be required to assist others within the wider finance team and business depending upon priorities.

Support and monitor internal control structure to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Control
- Ensure the Group overdue debt is monitored and minimized on an ongoing basis
- Account reconciliations
- Credit control responsibility for groups of customers
- Team administration tasks, as and when required

Support
- Improvement of AR performance and reduced DSO / Debtor days
- Support General ledger accounting across all group companies
- Support day-to-day cash flow and banking relationships (including cash allocation)
- Support multiple company Direct Debit runs

Other
- Understand and comply with job relevant Companies Practice Standards at all times.
- Understand the Companies standard operating procedures and attend training sessions as appropriate.

Experience, skills and knowledge requirements:

- Excellent communication and customer care skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and strong computer-related skills (strong Excel an advantage)
- A Minimum of 2 years of credit control / AR experience and knowledge of accounting systems (preferably SAP) desirable but not essential

- Manage Finances: Understands the financial implications of various actions; makes effective use of various sources of financial information (e.g., operating reports, spreadsheets, etc.); establishes and meets realistic goals based on sound analysis.
