Our client based in **Northwest London** is looking for an experienced **Forklift** driver to strengthen their team.

You should have a valid in-date certificate for **Counterbalance** forklift truck, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Your certificate must be from a recognised body and not an in-house issued certificate.

You will be part of the Warehouse and Logistics team and will work closely with all other departments. This is a "hands on" role and you will be expected to work as one of the team and carry out the duties applicable to you and any other duties commensurateto your role within the company.

**Main duties**:

- To unload and load goods in and out of the warehouse
- Moving pallets and boxes manually in the warehouse
- Safe loading and unloading of vehicles, avoiding damage to persons, stock or equipment.
- Checking delivered items against paperwork to ensure correct item has been delivered in the correct quantity and without damage.
- Responsible for the proper handling, receiving and checking, identification, counting and barcode labelling of incoming deliveries and proper endorsement to procedures for quality inspection.
- Responsible for the proper safekeeping and issue of materials, including the monitoring of required storage condition of the warehouse to ensure proper accounting and recording and protection from damage and deterioration.
- Locating items safely in the warehouse/ shopfloor in either the given location (Kanban) or in a suitable location, fitting to the size and nature of the item, carrying out any scanning action required.
- Picking items as directed, in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring utmost care is taken to pick the correct item, required scanning activity is carried out and no damage occurs.
- Delivery to, and collection from the shop floor whilst ensuring KPI’s are met.
- Stocktaking activities as directed.
- Maintenance of a clean and tidy work place.
- Ensuring that relevant information is passed to the Warehouse Section Leader and effectively communicating with team leaders and other stores employees.
- Ensuring that kanban red cards are given to the appropriate person in order to enable stock replenishment.
- Keep stock control systems up-to-date by scanning parts being issued to the shop-floor
- Complying with Environmental, Health & Safety requirements
- Heavy lifting will be involved
- Required to use a forklift truck

**Person Specification**:

- Must have a valid Counterbalance forklift certificate
- Previous warehouse experience
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Flexible
- Able to work unsupervised
- Aware of health and safety in a warehouse environment
- Team player
- PPE: Safety footwear and hi-vis vest
