**Job Title**: Senior AV Installation Engineer

**Location**: St Neots, Cambridgeshire (You will need your own transport)

**Salary**: £30,000 per year, plus generous commission, and a potential annual bonus

**Job Type**:Full time, Permanent

**Working Hours**:40 hours per week, but flexible approach is essential (Some very early starts)

Proactive is a small business, established for 19 years, with a strong customer base in the East of England. We require a friendly and flexible person to join our team of Engineers in installing AV solutions into client premises, which are mainly schools.An enhanced DBS check will be required.

**About the role**:
You will need to be a team-player and be competent in the use of hand-held tools and working to company procedures regarding customer care and health and safety. You must be happy to occasionally supervise a junior member of the team.

You will drive to customers who are usually within a 2-hour drive from our warehouse, load and unload vans and ensure the client's site is left clean and tidy. You may occasionally work in our warehouse to clean and test used AV equipment.

**Main Duties**:

- Direct activities and carry out the installation of interactive screens, projectors, peripherals, and any other audio-visual equipment, together with the necessary cabling to support the installation
- Liaise with the customers to ensure good communication during the installation and obtain customer sign-off when completed
- Completion and collation of all installation paperwork/digital forms e.g. room/school sign-off, risk assessments, etc
- Preparation for the installation and clean-down, including cleaning/tidying and loading/unloading the van
- Maintenance activities in support of installed products
- Using mobile app technology & digital forms (training provided) for installations

**About you**:

- Previous experience of installing audio visual technology preferred but will also consider anyone with practical experience of cabling, IT installations, etc. and we will provide training on the products
- Some work will be at height. PASMA required or we will fund training
- CSCS Green Card required, or we will fund training
- Able to work under own initiative while also providing guidance to more junior staff
- Someone who is practical & used to working with tools
- Attention to detail & work to health & safety requirements
- Good communication skills and approachable manner
- Full driving licence as will be required to drive vans to customer sites
- Must agree to an enhanced DBS check
- Willing to undertake training on & off-site
- Must wear branded/safety clothing & be of hygienic & presentable appearance

**Benefits**:

- 33 days holiday per year, including bank holidays and Christmas. Please Note - Holidays to be taken mostly in term time as school holidays are our busiest time, but we do shut down for a week at Christmas.
