**Role Overview**

We are looking for somebody bright and ambitious at an early stage in their career to join our corporate reporting and ESG advisory team, delivering outstanding work for our industry-leading client list of FTSE 100 and 250 companies.

Our offices are at the Fulham Palace in Putney, a Grade 1 listed building within Bishop’s Park in Putney, and we have a hybrid model of working at the office and from home.

**Key Responsibilities**

You will work with our senior consultants in support of their communications strategy consultancy projects. Typical assignments include:

- Reviewing and assessing companies’ external communications through different channels focusing on the Annual Report and wider reporting suite
- Taking responsibility for maintaining Black Sun’s Knowledge databases of best practice corporate reporting examples to effectively improve our performance and the value that we add to clients. This includes ensuring all relevant updates are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Keeping abreast of legal and regulatory changes, consultations and Government initiatives to ensure that the team is always in a position to provide best-in-class advice to clients
- Contributing to new business proposals and client project briefs, proposing solutions and working strategically with project teams
- Working with colleagues on our flagship global research project on FTSE 100 Annual Reports and other thought leadership initiatives such as events and webinars
- From time to time, assisting the Marketing team in preparing thought leadership articles, newsletter content and social media content to support the wider business offers.
- Over time, taking the lead on client accounts to provide consultancy around corporate reporting and ESG communications

**Qualifications, experience & skills**:

- Strong academic record with a degree from a reputable university
- Ideally work experience within communications or business consultancy
- Interest in understanding economic and societal issues, the evolving stakeholders needs and how they are impacting business
- Familiarity with the UK corporate reporting and regulatory environment for investor and ESG communications, including Annual Reports
- A good standard of report writing and presentation drafting skills in MS Power Point/Word

- You have plenty of common sense and a systematic approach to getting things done
- You enjoy working in a team and building relevant connections both with the wider business and through external engagement
