**Sustainable Solutions Lead**

We are now over halfway through our latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP7, and this will see us deliver a £1.2bn programme of work until 2025.

The next five-year Asset Management Period (AMP8) will require us to deliver a larger programme of outcomes. A major contributor to this growth is Anglian Water’s ‘Water Industry National Environmental Plan’ (WINEP). WINEP will enable greater delivery for the environment, for customers and for communities, which complements our ‘Get River Positive’ commitment.

To deliver the AMP8 programme, we need new ways of working; a way that provides a more balanced and wider outcome-based approach, with a greater focus on sustainability, carbon, efficiency, natural capital, and social capital.

To develop and deliver this new way of working, we are seeking a Sustainable Solutions Lead to join us.

**What you will be doing as our new Sustainable Solutions Lead?**

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and develop a team to develop processes, skills, competencies, and tools for delivering sustainable solutions, which complement and enhance the current capital delivery services provided.
- Seek opportunities, internally, externally, nationally, and internationally, to develop capability and support self-delivery.
- Support alternative funding mechanisms, to enhance the natural environment and provide social value.
- Undertake appropriate proactive and reactive stakeholder management and engagement activities to drive catchment-based strategies and deliver our target of 70% reduced embodied carbon by 2030.

- Managing a business portfolio/unit, including strategic and tactical planning
- Entrepreneurial tendencies to develop a business and capitalise on opportunities, with an ability to manage risk
- Building partnering relationships and undertaking stakeholder management
- Creating and leading a team where welfare and creative thinking are encouraged to develop the team and individuals
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives and mindsets in the direct team and across the organisation
- Demonstrates high levels of resilience and accountability to deliver results even in times of setbacks

**Experience**:

- land projects management: 3 years (preferred)
