Octavius, a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK, is recruiting for an experienced **Senior Estimator** join our Highways Pre-Delivery team.

This is a remote-first role with occasional travel to our offices in Binley, Hatfield and Reigate.

You'll be working on.

You will produce and manage analytical estimates, target costs, and high-level cost estimates that accurately reflect opportunities and risks within the tender documentation.

Your role is crucial in shaping the financial success of our projects, contributing to the overall growth and reputation of Octavius.

You'll bring(your wealth of experience & qualifications)
- Proven experience in estimating rates from first principles for large complex
infrastructure projects.
- Familiar with Method of Measurement and preparing Bills of Quantities.
- Sound knowledge of construction techniques, technologies, and methods and their
impact on outputs and costs.
- Complete understanding of civil engineering resources, their costs and outputs and how
these translate to the overall project cost.
- Understanding of the significance of project constraints on the cost of delivery.
- Detailed knowledge of risk management procedures and their impact on cost
estimates.
- Able to prepare detailed cost estimates and complete work take-offs/activity
schedules.
- Competent use of estimating software and good IT skills.
