Salary Guide**:£32,000 - £34,000 (Plus Car or Car Allowance)**
Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are delivering a significant proportion of United Utilities Water's AMP7 programme of clean and wastewater non-infrastructure projects throughout the North West.
Our Client has a new vacancy for an Environmental Planner to support these projects, Where you will be an important part of the project development providing a link between feasibility, design and the construction teams ensuring a smooth progression of theproject from scoping document to site start.
**Key responsibilities**:
- To assist the client deliverables with regards to town planning and environmental requirements
- To provide information about the requirements for and / or the implications of planning and environmental aspects to minimise the potential for delays in project delivery
- Consultation with our clients designers and project managers to understand project scopes and advise on town planning and environmental requirements
- Coordinate the delivery of project level design 3rd Party / Environmental Risk Reviews, and identify planning and environmental scopes of work
- Support to meetings with the client, statutory consultees and interested parties
- Work with Third Party Coordinators to provide any relevant environmental information to projects
- Coordinate with designers on environmental matters in order to confirm design solutions
- Coordinate GIS support to assist with the production of Environmental Constraints Maps as required
- Identify the requirements for Environmental permitting support and agree with advance JV the engagement of specialist to support EPR requirements
- Assist the project team with communications with relevant Local Planning Authorities and or statutory consultees as necessary and instructed by the Client
- Consult with Environmental Regulators, as required
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:
- Degree in appropriate town planning, environmental or related discipline
- Knowledge and experience of planning requirements and submissions
- Strong written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.
- Moderate IT skills
- Full driving licence
- Relevant CSCS Card
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience within the environmental field, specialising in design environmental advice and support (Desirable)
- Post graduate diploma in town planning, environment or related discipline (Desirable)
