**SEND Teaching Assistant**

**Greenwich, London**

**£75-£90 p/day (with the possibility of an increase to £94 p/day after 12 weeks)**

**Full time, long term**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work with a Reception pupil who has ADHD and behavioural needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join our supportive and diverse primary school based in Greenwich.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the pupil on a one-to-one basis, supporting them in their learning and development.
- Encourage and motivate the pupil to engage with their learning and manage their behaviour effectively.
- Liaise with the class teacher, SENCO and other professionals involved in the pupil's care to ensure that their needs are being met.
- Contribute to the planning, preparation and delivery of activities and lessons, ensuring that they are tailored to the pupil's individual needs and interests.
- Monitor and record the pupil's progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
- Establish a positive and supportive relationship with the pupil, building their confidence and self-esteem.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, where all pupils feel valued and respected.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly ADHD and behavioural needs.
- Good behaviour management skills, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers.
- A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to understand and respond to the individual needs of the pupil.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity, with a passion for ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.
