**Main purpose of the Job**

FearLess delivers services across the South West for victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse and victims of sexual violence. We provide responsive, victim focused and trauma informed support and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and develop a new project supporting perpetrators of Domestic Abuse to change their behavior. This project is focused on working with military and/or veteran families across Wiltshire.

This three-year project will involve the set-up, running and evaluation of a military

Domestic Violence Perpetrators Programme (DVPP), culminating in a literary review, recommendations and a Military Domestic Abuse conference, where findings from the project will be presented.

This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. This role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

**Main Responsibilities and Tasks**
- Provide a high-quality, person-centred, and trauma informed service to children and young people who need it.
- Develop specialist knowledge of the military context and adapt resources and the DVPP to meet the unique needs of military families.
- Ensure support is offered at a time and location that is accessible to clients.
- Manage a caseload of clients.
- Facilitate group interventions as required.
- To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.
- Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.
- Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.
- Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.
- Give practical and emotional support to children affected by domestic abuse.
- Work closely with multi-agency partners and the wider Wiltshire team to ensure that we maintain a focus on risk management and safeguarding.
- Complete thorough risk assessments, utilising best practice tools.
- Work collaboratively with the other team members to ensure the safety of the family.
- Ensure an appropriate focus is on safeguarding, making referrals to Children’s

Social Care and MARAC as appropriate.
- Attend Children’s Social Care multi-agency meetings such as child protection conferences, Child in Need meetings and core groups, offering your professional assessment and completing any statutory reports.
- Ensure those who perpetrate abuse have an understanding of the impact of abuse on children.
- Attend regular Case Review meetings to assess ongoing risks.
- Work in accordance with Respect guidelines and standards.
- Deliver individual and group support s, including evening sessions to ensure the group is accessible.
- Develop and maintain relationships with relevant agencies and organisations, working closely with Children’s Social Care, Military welfare, Wiltshire’s Military forum and Police.
- Establish and maintain accurate records and statistics, utilising a case management database.
- Deliver data to meet key performance indicators and reporting requirements for the charitable grant.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.
- Contribute to the promotion and development of the programme.
- Contribute to the evaluation of the programme, literary review and development of the Military Domestic Abuse conference.
