Due to continued growth a new position has been created within the operations team. It’s an exciting time to join our industry and this role would be ideal for someone looking to start a career in renewables.

**Objectives**

The role of the Procurement Assistant will support the operations department in the purchasing of goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are fulfilled, considering cost, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply and deadlines are met.

**Responsibilities**

Main responsibilities include:

- Place orders with suppliers, raising purchase orders through our CRM system in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Negotiate and identify best price, availability, and value on all products/services.
- Assist Project Manager to ensure materials are sourced, ordered, and delivered in a timely manner to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage lead times and ETA lapses and resolve related issues ensuring progress is communicated to all relevant parties.
- Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure that the business gains a competitive advantage.
- Keep records of stocks inbound & outbound on CRM system.
- Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies
- Work on a day-to-day basis in line with the company’s core values.
- Any other duties reasonably requested by management.

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Experience of working in a purchasing environment and/or operations admin position.
- Proficient in using computer systems (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Accuracy in all tasks and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both oral and written.
- Proactive and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to multitask.

Desirable:

- Previous work experience within renewables.
- Knowledge of SimPRO.

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
