**Position Overview**: We are seeking a talented and driven Production and Materials Planner to join our clients growing team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless coordination of logistics operations while providing exceptional customer service. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Analyse and optimise logistics processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials.
- Collaborate with transportation partners to streamline delivery schedules and minimise delays.
- Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
- Gather and analyse customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Generate reports and present findings to management, making data-driven recommendations.
- Assist in the development of customer service policies and procedures.
- Support the logistics and customer service teams in day-to-day operations.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in logistics and/or customer service roles within a manufacturing or engineering business - ideally supplying into the automotive industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organised.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Knowledge of logistics software and systems is a plus.
- Customer-centric attitude and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
