Reinstatement Operative

**The role**

Reporting to the area Reinstatement Controller you will be responsible for the permanent reinstatement of excavations in highways, footways and other hard paved areas in the west region.

As the Reinstatement Operative, you will work as part of a two-person team carrying out a variety of reinstatements to local authority standards. You will work on carriageways, footways and other hard paved areas using asphalts, modular paving and concrete.

You will play a part in the provision of a 24-hour service. Driving a 7.5 tonne gross tipper/hotbox vehicle to load materials at the quarry and transport to site is necessary, so a full current driving licence including 7.5t GVW is essential, together with a NRSWA operative certificate.

**What do you need?**

We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude who is confident, driven and self-motivated. You will work towards becoming an experienced blacktop Reinstatement Operative within the water and sewerage industry.?

You will have the ability to operate small plant, eg, a pedestrian roller, disc cutter, trench rammer and plate compactor, together with the basic understanding of materials and specifications.
