You’ll join the UK & Ireland Marketing team reporting to the Senior Product Manager - Flame for Life &. Blade Excellence (with dotted line to Senior Product Manager - Human Expression for key projects).
This position is primarily responsible for owning the Packaging, point of sale (POS), Content and Display process for all categories & channels in order to improve BIC’s presence in the market place (both in bricks & mortar and online) and to ultimately drive incremental sales. This role will also support with a variety of key marketing projects across all divisions to enable development into a strong marketing professional.
**What You’ll do**
- Leading all packaging, point of sale & display projects in the UK & Ireland including managing the briefing process with the sales team (to ensure all information about the event, range, POS and display requirements are gathered) as well as managing the relationship with either our internal packaging team or the local packaging agency to develop the materials and coordinating with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to ensure timely delivery.
- Champion in-store theatre and development of the tools necessary to step-change our in-store presence across all categories including reporting on what we have done and learnings achieved.
- Implementation of key processes to ensure we can accurately report on our improvements in this area
- Ownership of the local code creation process - liaising with marketing & sales teams to ensure all information is gathered for completion of the Product Creation Forms (PCF’s), challenging team on opportunity size to manage number of new codes created ensuring complexity is minimised and return maximised, and working with central teams to ensure timelines created and production timing is maintained
- Lead the Ecommerce Content agenda - working with the Marketing and Ecommerce teams (both locally and centrally) to audit content across different ecommerce platforms, coordinate requests and develop and upload new content as required including agency briefing & management where required.
- Support Ecommerce team with activating across all SPARC metrics on each customer platform and be the key point of contact for liaising with Marketing team members (both locally & centrally) to ensure our metrics improve over time.
- Management of Marketing budgets - preparation, implementation and monitoring of the brand support (for key projects you manage) and packaging budgets, liaising with other marketing team members as required, setting up new suppliers and creating PO’s as required while ensuring planned spend does not exceed our budget
- Dependent on workload, this role would also support on a range of projects across all categories from the development of new products, performance tracking of key initiatives and presentation back to key stakeholders to channel initiatives and cross-functional projects to improve sales in key areas.
- Ad hoc trips to Ireland and Europe may be required to fulfil the job responsibilities
**Qualifications**:
- Higher Education (in Marketing or Business discipline preferred but not required)
- Preferred, but not essential: relevant experience (e.g. Marketing or Sales)
- High level fluency of English required - good command of language necessary for communicating with key retailers and internal stakeholders as well as copy-writing & proofing purposes
- Understanding of UK & Ireland retail environments, Ecommerce, supply chain or forecasting is useful
