**THE OPPORTUNITY**

You will make an impact by managing team members within your shift and you will successfully line manage Team Leaders to ensure our customer's orders are leaving our warehouses within deadlines. You will achieve this by leading a successful operation across B2B, B2C, picking, packing and dispatch.

You are passionate about customer experience and take pride in quality control to give them a best-in-class gifting experience. You have excellent team management and problem solving skills and are able to proactively develop process and efficiencies across all areas of the Operations department that you oversee on shift.

You support the smooth running of our picking and packing operations during your shift and support handover during, or in preparation for, shift changeover day to day. You will demonstrate sound risk management and can be relied upon to make suitable decisions within remit and escalate in a timely and appropriate manner, if not able to resolve the issue directly.

You will be working an 8 hour, 5 days a week shift pattern. We are currently operating on a ‘any 5 in 7’ contract, this essentially means that you could be occasionally required to work a shift on any day of the week, this will include occasional weekend days during peak times of the year with one weeks’ notice. Our standard shift pattern is 6am - 2pm and 10am - 6pm, this stretches to 10pm during peak periods.

**HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE**
- Supervising and coordinating areas within the Operations departments (This will include Retail and Wholesale)
- Supporting with daily planning of people movement, communicating changes to the Production Manager
- Managing people processes (appraisals, return to works and probation reviews) for direct employees and developing your team leaders to support on People processes
- Providing feedback and training to staff when required whilst motivating your team to achieve KPIs
- Supporting with recruitment, investigation and disciplinaries for your team as required and in collaboration with HR
- Supporting continuous improvement by taking part in projects
- Taking responsibility for the smooth running of your shift and successful handover, setting the next shift up to succeed
- Supporting with stock takes, care of product and space management
- Analysing key data when required
- Planning production and providing timely performance reporting
- Supporting the operations by carrying out any additional tasks as reasonably requested by the management
- Leading by example and maintaining a flexible approach to meet business needs
- Communication with internal customer experience teams

- Experience of working to KPIs and supporting the development of warehouse processes
- Experience of line managing and preferably mentoring people-managers
- Ability to motivate, influence and support others
- Adaptable to change with ability to make quick, accurate decisions
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
- Ability to work autonomously, be proactive and take ownership of work
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Discreet and maintains confidentiality at all times
- Collaborates effectively with others to achieve the business’ aims, demonstrating ‘one team’ ethic with all colleagues across the business
