Talent84 have a **Permanent, Full-Time vacancy for a Transport Planner** to work for an established Logistics Provider at their site in Newark

**There is a choice of 2 shifts you can either work**
- Mon - Fri 3.00 pm - 01.00 am
- or
- Mon - Fri 5.00 am - 3.00 pm

**Pay Rate**:

- £32,000 - £32,800
- Negotiable depending on skills and experience

**Job Purpose**
- Providing operational planning and implementing processes to ensure delivery timescales and service levels are met,

**Duties are varied and will include**:

- Implementing the transport plan
- Management of driver and fleet resources
- Utilising driver agency resources when necessary
- Communicating with the companies’ customers and their customers, ensuring they are kept up to date with any issues including late deliveries, delays and incidents
- Compiling daily forecasts and performance reports
- Liaising with third party hauliers’
- Maintaining the transport management system
- Assisting management to ensure operation and systems meet/exceed all necessary Health & Safety and Legal requirements and are in line with the requirements of the Companies Operating Licence

**Skills required**:

- Experience of working within a transport planning team
- IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Understanding and working knowledge of Vehicle Compliance and driver hours legislation
- International / UK CPC Holder desirable but not essential
