**Job Title: Warehouse Opeartive**

**Reporting to: Warehouse Manager**

**Department: Warehouse & Supply Chain Team**

**Starting Salary: £12.03 per hour **_**(equivalent to basic £23,458.50 pa)**_

**Fully Operational Salary: £12.89 per hour **_**(equivalent to basic £25,135.50 pa)* *Opportunity to progress to a fully operational Warehouse Operative role dependent upon training & development requirements being met.**_

**About The Role**

You will perform a range of Warehouse activities on a two shift rotation shift pattern (0600-1400, 1400-2200), 5 days per week (core hours 37.5 hours per week). You will have a comprehensive knowledge of general warehouse activities, and will be safety focused within the Warehouse environment. You will contribute and support the continuous improvement activities within the Warehouse function. The key deliverable of the role is to support the Warehouse Supervisor and the wider team in all Warehouse operations.

- Support the safe and efficient running of the Warehouse function on your shift.
- Support all stock taking activities.
- Understand all relevant Site Safety Policies & Rules for operating MHE in your area, and ensure all pre-checks are carried out accurately.
- Understand and comply with site waste management procedures.
- Demonstrate urgency and move quickly to implement decisions once they have been made.
- Ensure work area is organised and ready for the oncoming shift and carry out handovers ‘on the job.’
- Be actively accountable for yourself and others by delivering on a commitment and taking responsibility for an outcome, not just a set of tasks.
- Support the Warehouse Supervisors at the daily team briefs and “run” with the tasks and information received.

- Be a part of driving continuous improvement to enhance work simplification, and the elimination of non-value-added activities by identifying opportunities and carrying out Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt projects.
- Understand and demonstrate through actions the importance of Behavioural Safety, complying to relevant Site Safety Policies & Rules.
- Actively learn the essentials about everything Stephenson Everything from it’s products, to the Stephenson way of working, to the personal care industry Expand your skillset to incorporate knowledge that allows you to assist with questions and challenges quickly and efficiently.
- To carry out a minimum of one Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt improvement project every 12 months
- Be active in identifying opportunities that benefit the internal or external customer.
- Be responsible for completing Near Miss reports, Incident Events and, Workplace Observations as required through EHS.
- Support accident and environmental non-conformance investigations in your area.
- Understand environmental impacts and the importance of control measures, ensuring that both yourself and your team adhere to them.
- Support energy and waste reduction activities.
- Support for RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and improvement activities: support technical countermeasures to prevent recurrence of Quality Events - this should also extend to maintenance activities.
- Actively support team decisions and challenge team members who do not; set aside own ideas or preference once choices have been made.
- Keep your finger on the pulse and record on EHS two workplace observations per week.
- Use your keen eye to complete GMP audits within your designated area.
