**Job Purpose**:

- Under the direction of the Medic Team and Business Support Manager:

- To provide comprehensive, confidential personal assistant (PA) support to consultants in their roles as Microbiologists & Departmental Directors.
- As part of the laboratory administration team, provide secretarial and clerical support to all medical staff and managers’ administrative, clinical and diagnostic services of the department; where appropriate, liaising with medical staff and other laboratorystaff, hospital/health board staff, service users, members of the public and other external contacts.
