**Youth Worker - YMCA Humber.**

**£27,040.00 (40 Hours WTE) Part Time Hours based upon pro-rata WTE.**

At YMCA Humber we support young people through a range of youth work approaches, providing much needed group work, youth club activities and outreach intervention.

You will join our team as a Youth Worker, reporting in to the Head of Youth and Community Services, helping facilitate a range of outreach and centre-based work within the East Marsh of Grimsby and beyond.

Our weekly Youth and Wellbeing offering includes both daytime and evening sessions, education, physical activity, and traditional youth work, with a key focus upon sports and activities across all genres.

Our current provision and youth services include:

- Facilitation of school holiday activities.
- Promoting YMCA activities through targeted school sessions.
- Delivery of programmes in community settings.
- Supporting young people’s personal and social development.
- Facilitating the delivery of recreational activities including sport, physical activity, arts and craft and topic-based workshops.
- Creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for young people.

With the ability to inspire, energise and motivate young people aged 5 - 18 years, you will create and maintain a safe, inclusive environment for everyone accessing YMCA Humber, and, whilst working in partnership with young people you will have the knowledge to understand their needs and tailor programmes accordingly.

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Early childhood education: 1 year (preferred)
- Youth work: 1 year (preferred)
