Page Bros are looking for talented individuals to join the Typesetting team in a variety of temporary DTP roles.

**What we do**

We produce high-quality secure materials incorporating both text and graphics and are looking for recruits to modify these materials into accessible documents.

**Roles overview**

The full-time roles we have on offer are flexible, depending on individual skills and experience.

The roles entail the production of modified large print and/or interactive accessible documents using Adobe InDesign and/or Acrobat. We are also looking to recruit proofreaders for these documents.

**Skills: Essential**
- Ability to work to deadlines, ensuring delivery of customers’ work on time.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to organise and prioritise your own workload.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Computer literacy.

**Skills: Desirable (depending on role)**
- Working knowledge of InDesign and Acrobat.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software including Word, Outlook and Teams.
- Proofreading experience.

**What the roles can involve**:

- Following house styles regarding layout of text and positioning of graphics.
- Utilising scripts to assist in the automation of text layout within documents. (InDesign).
- Amending InDesign and/or Adobe files following customer or in-house proofreader’s mark up and production of new pdf files for each proof stage in the lifecycle of the materials.
- Working closely with the proofreaders to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Using existing InDesign files of live documents to export text and reflow into templates. (Large print papers).
- Repositioning of text depending on specific requirements of different modifications.
- Creating additional source material for specific documents as required. (Large print papers).
- Amalgamating documents as required. (Interactive papers).
- Tag and modify pdfs to ensure they are fully accessible. (Interactive papers).
- Noticing errors in original papers and following procedures when these are found.
- Using screen reader software to listen to papers. (Interactive proofreading).
