**Procurement Specialist**

As the Procurement Specialist you will work within the wider operations team, engaging with clients, distributors and vendors to ensure project delivery and profitability. You will have excellent analytical and communication skills as well as an understanding of the key concepts of procurement.

**Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to)**:

- Generating and issuing sales and purchase orders
- Carrying out vendor risk assessments and first contract reviews
- Analysing purchase options based on price, availability and requirement
- Looking for ways on improving profitability using daily exchange rates
- Analysing and booking all aspects of travel including entry requirements
- Ensuring that travel bookings meet engineer, project, quality and profit requirements
- Having regular checkpoints with travellers throughout a trip
- Escalating any issues and work with the travel manager for prompt resolution

**Skills and experience required**:

- An understanding of the key concepts of procurement
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- A confident and diplomatic approach to problem solving and rate negotiations
- Previous experience within a fast paced commercial environment
- Advanced Microsoft office skills
- Previous use of Microsoft great Plains or similar accounting packages

Our client is based in Malvern and this is a full time office based position

Salary - £25 - £30k depending on experience
