David is proudly independent and lives on his own, however he enjoys the company of others and spending time with his Mum and Nan, and more recently his Dad. He is very proud of his pet dog, who means the world to him, and he enjoys taking her out for walks. He also enjoys going fishing. He enjoys the company of his Buddy/Support Worker/s to help him get out and about and enjoy the activities he loves to do and to help him with some difficulty with his memory and organisational skills that require support. The role will also involve supporting David to maximise his independence in all activities of daily living.

David loves football and is a season ticket holder at Portsmouth, where he likes to go often. He works as a volunteer at Headway in Portsmouth and would very much like to find a job. He is aware that he can suffer from mood swings, but when he realises he is wrong he soon apologises and says sorry.

This is wonderful opportunity to join a supportive family and care team where you can make a real difference to David’s life by maximising his opportunities and promoting his independence wherever possible**, **a truly rewarding role for someone who is able to communicate effectively and an ability to work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion.
