**Location**:NESI - Grimsby

**Reporting to**:Production Manager

**Purpose**:
You will be working on a 4on/4off day-shift rotation, 1100-2300, and will be responsible to supervise a retail pack team in delivering operational performance that meets set H&S, OEE, and Quality targets and meeting the overall business objectives.

**Responsible for**:

- Directing a large shop floor retail packing team, ensuring key skills are in place, staff are designated to correct areas and daily plans are received throughout the full team.
- To implement and deliver the retail lines’ safety requirements, ensure all pre-start up checks are completed, all non-conformances to be raised through the retail production manager and the health and safety manager. To actively encourage safety opportunity reporting and quality close out of resultant actions to deliver the site wide AFR rate target.
- To deliver the daily retail planned production, ensuring that line performance efficiencies, OEE, C.P.P and plan attainment are met with customer orders delivered OTIF across each retail S.K.U.
- To deliver the Retail line performance against set OEE parameters and at C.P.P across each retail SKU’s, results to be delivered through the retail pack team, with results then measured against targets.
- Analyse and communicate the Retail K.P.I results at the T1 and T2 review meetings, actively participate in efficiency improvement projects to improve C.P.P and give away recovery, whilst reducing labour costs and improving plan attainment.
- Consult with production manager to deliver the Retail line succession plan to meet current volume and future growth of S.K.U output whilst covering the annual holiday leave without affecting volume output and quality.
- Actively participate and seek out Continuous Improvement projects and opportunities to improve efficiencies across the retail packing lines.
- Account and ensure that all pre-start up checks are completed, all non-conformances raised and closed with the engineering department ensuring line time efficiency is optimized and reduction in down time.
- Liaise with the technical department in delivering technical systems and procedures through the retail pack team that are compliant with costumer policy and requirements. Ensuring retail packing area is always audit ready. Responsible for minor non-conformance close out.
- Liaise with HR, training department and the allocated buddies ensuring the training and development of the retail, pack, dispatch is met. Ensure that return to work, disciplinary and grievance procedures are acted on and closed out accordingly, accountable for first level disciplinary with the retail as necessary.
- Regularly communicate with the retail production manager on shift performance, downtime, health and safety issues and food safety issues throughout the day.
- Liaise with primary processing and WIP to ensure effective stock control is met with mínimal stock rotation and over/under production issues.
- Effectively engage with shop floor staff through 121s, effective change management meetings and collective briefings.
