Senior Health Care Assistant

St Andrews nursing home is located in Hawick. Our current shift pattern is 7pm-7am for nightshift.
tasks inculde but are not limited to
- Assist with daily/nightly medications
- Supervise other staff and run a smooth shift
- Complete all paperwork to a high standard including personal care plans for residents
- Speak to families and medical professionals face to face and over the phone
- Give a full handover to the next shift
- Participate in the provision of a high level of care.
- To work with the caring team to perform the following tasks: bed making, serve meals and drinks, assist with feeding, assist with bathing and showering, assist with toileting and use of incontinence aids, report any issues to the person in charge, assist with dressing, assist with all aspects of daily living.
- Attend and complete any mandatory training
- Promote sleep and assist with getting ready for bed
**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time, Full-time
Part-time hours: 12-48 per week
**Salary**: From £12.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Night shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Hawick, TD9 7NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Svq 2 or above (required)

- United Kingdom (required)
