**Mobile Plant Fitter - Piling Hammers**

With continued growth of our business we are looking to recruit a team for our newest depot, based at Houstoun Industrial Estate, Livingston.

Established in 1981, MGF is a market leader in the design, manufacture, hire and sale of excavation support systems for the civil engineering, utilities and construction industries. We manufacture our own equipment, operate our own transport fleet and importantly have an in-house engineering department who produce design solutions to meet customers’ requirements.

Employing over 440 staff, we operate nationally from 14 locations and have an established reputation of providing total service to our customers. We are now looking to extend that service with our first depot based in Scotland and have a number of exciting opportunities available including a Mobile Plant Fitter - Piling Hammers.

Every single one of us plays an important role at MGF, and our Mobile Plant Fitters are an integral part of our team. As a Plant Fitter at MGF, working predominantly in the North East England / Scotland regions, you will be responsible for onsite commissioning and installing / deinstalling of piling hammers and undertaking the routine testing, maintenance and repair of all the Company’s hire equipment and products ensuring that they meet the highest possible standards.

Other responsibilities include:

- On site commissioning, installing and deinstalling of piling hammers
- Executing and planning maintenance programmes
- Quality Assurance control in line with the Company’s procedures
- Completing Quality Assurance Data sheets
- Ensuring that install deadlines are met efficiently, safely and to the appropriate production standards
- Using Forklift Truck within MGF depots to assist with repairs / maintenance
- Cleanliness and housekeeping within your area

To become a Mobile Plant Fitter at MGF the core requirements are:

- Experience with maintaining piling hammers.
- Experience with the install / commissioning of piling hammers on site.
- Basic mechanical engineering background with knowledge of hydraulics.
- IT competence for inputting Quality Assurance sheets onto MGF systems.
- A full UK driving licence

Ideally you should also have:

- A Forklift Truck licence would be desirable
