The mian purpose of our team of Necking Operators is to control the necking process, ensuring the production of a consistent necked can that satisfies customer requirements.

The main duties include

**GENERAL**
- To observe environmental, health and safety working practices at all times.
- To comply with BRC requirements at all times
- To maintain a high level of housekeeping within the necking area including clean floor / swarf.
- To support production to ensure that quality standards are met in adherence to ISO 9001 requirements and remedial action taken where necessary.

**NECKING DUTIES**

**_ Necking Machines and Tooling_**
- To assist the Mechanical Technicians to set and run the necking machines
- To carry out fault finding on necking machines and correct as required.
- To prepare tooling required for the current and subsequent job.
- To ensure regular quality checks are completed and any deviations are reports to the Shift manager.
- To keep all spares for the necking machine in good order.
- To monitor and control usage, tool life and requisition within Necking

**CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT**
- To develop, in conjunction with others, working methods and systems to continuously improve safety, product quality, efficiency and waste.
- To participate in and support the Management team and colleagues in Continuous Improvements projects.

This role works on a rotating shift patterns as shown below. This includes 4 weeks on days (6am - 6pm) and 4 weeks on nights (6pm - 6am)
