Fetal Monitoring Midwife

An exciting opportunity has come for a Band 7 midwife to join our Band 8 midwife in supporting the service at our West Middlesex site to provide a safe, robust and consistent approach to fetal monitoring, including both continuous and intermittent fetal monitoring.
Staff will also support to:
- Develop staff awareness in recognizing factors that could contribute to misinterpretation of cardiotocography (CTGs) and impaired clinical decision making.
- Ensure staff are assessing fetal well-being in the context of the woman's health, pregnancy, gestational age, stage of labour, intrapartum risk factor.
- To participate in teaching on multi-disciplinary training days and facilitate learning opportunities following interesting case reviews.
- To undertake audits to ensure compliance with fetal monitoring guidelines.
