**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**:
To successfully develop and implement cost-effective fulfilment of our transport requirements. Delivering great customer service whilst optimising key performance indicators (KPI's).
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- ** Utilisation of fleet**:Co-ordinating own fleet and sub contractors to plan in line with business requirements to maximise cost-effectiveness.
- ** Collaborating**:Working with Sales team and Plant Managers to ensure feasibility of plan in line with Drivers hours and regulations, production and delivering great customer service.
- ** Adaptability**:Developing fast paced schedules and adapting to change as the day progresses.
- ** Communication**: Excellent effective communication across the different stakeholders.
- ** Creating value**:Spot opportunities for additional value creation and implement them.
- ** Continued Improvement**:Be proactive in helping the business to continually improve our systems and processes.
- ** Ad hoc tasks**:Participate fully in project work and other assignments as required.
**EXPERIENCE**
- Good numerical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively written and verbally.
- Good computer skills, using multiple systems at once.
- Good Geographical knowledge (Desirable). Experience in Transport Planning (Desirable).
