**Job Description**:
The position is that of Maintenance Support Person.

This is an office based role.

The duties below indicate some of the functions that are carried out.

Duties will include as required:

- Allocate reactive maintenance jobs to relevant contractors for resolution and issue orders as required
- Track progress of maintenance jobs and liaise with contractors to ensure works are completed in timely manner
- Ensure the clients’ corporate system is kept up to date with the status of maintenance jobs
- Review contractor quotes for more complex works and obtain alternative quotes where this may be more cost effective
- Submit quotes for approval prior to issuing orders for instruction
- Liaise with the Client and contractors to confirm dates for planned or urgent reactive works and ensure any equipment required is available to the contractor
- Ensure relevant Health & Safety documentation is in place prior to works starting on site
- Arrange security guard provision for client sites as required
- Review invoices ensuring they reflect agreed rates and work completed
- Maintain a daily record of maintenance spend against various budgets
- Compile weekly report on contractor performance and use of security guards
- Compile monthly report on the status of maintenance jobs for the different client regions
- On a rota basis, provide out of hour weekend support for maintenance issues

Required / Desired competencies and personal skills
- Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential as training can be given
- Self-motivated and work co-operatively as part of a team.
- Confidentiality essential.
- Able to work effectively in varying team strenghs and abilities
- Effective time management and prioritisation
- Attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative in resolving problems.
- Effective management of paperwork and electronic documents and correspondence
- Strong organisational skills in time and task management
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Leadership - by example.

**Salary**: Up to £26,000.00 per year
