Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant

Job Overview:
Overall Purpose:
Assisting in the day to day running of the dispensary and shop, which includes dealing with customers, providing advice on shop and dispensary items and medicines, handling prescriptions, assisting in all aspects of the dispensing process, operating dispensing robot, operating MDS robot, ordering stock, checking invoices, and other duties as required by the business.

With Customers:
Making recommendations and providing advice - both in relation to general sales items and medicines.
Assisting with taking in and giving out prescriptions, checking customer details carefully.
Dealing sensitively and sympathetically with all customers/patients, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Communicating effectively with customers, patients, colleagues and others.

Dispensary:
Assisting with all aspects of the dispensing process.
Operating the dispensing robot, including loading and stock management,
Operating the MDS robot to provide monitored dose packages, including all software and hardware aspects.

Stock:
Ordering stock, checking off invoices for stock received, dealing with discrepancies, putting stock away.
Selling stock, using tills, date-checking stock

Shop:
Cleaning and tidying shop - both public and staff areas.
Maintaining a neat, hygienic, safe and presentable environment.

Cash handling:
Using Till systems.

Other:
Maintaining patient and customer confidentiality.
Completing any courses of study as required by your employer.
Any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by your employer.

Employee is responsible for getting to and from work at the appropriate times.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.84 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
