**Job overview**:
We are looking for a dynamic person to help support the Transport service including monitoring daily schedules the moving equipment including sample, notes, stores, pharmacy and any other ad/hoc requests between hospital clinics and sites and could include transporting patients to home addresses, nursing homes etc. The service schedules will run Monday - Sunday. There is a need to be able to cover all schedules if the need arises.

The individuals will require previous driving experience and will have to drive a range of commercial fleet vehicles ranging from small ford connect vans, minibuses/ambulance and 3.5t tail lifts.

**Main duties of the job**:

- Previous driving experience
- Good geographical knowledge
- Manual handling is essential.
- People skills
- Required to handle heavy object and /or patients.
- Basic IT skills
- Understanding of the trust values
- Required to undertake prolonged concentration.
- From time be exposed to unpleasant working conditions or hazards.
- Must be very flexible towards hours & duties within the Transport department.
- The individual must be committed to work additional hours to meet contractual requirements. This could means working on a rota system covering specific shifts weekdays, weekends and including Bank Holidays and the Christmas period.
