**Personal and Professional Development Co-Ordinator**

**Co-Ordinator Responsibilities**:

- Assist the PPD Manager in planning and managing an innovative and highly adaptive tutorial programme.
- Monitor the personal and academic progress of all students and ensure up-to-date student records.
- Review overall student attendance and follow up on non-attendance.
- Ensure PPD Tutors are adequately trained and briefed in delivering tutorial materials.
- Liaise and work with the DSL and Safeguarding and Welfare Manager regarding safeguarding or prevent issues.
- Support the implementation of college student disciplinary procedures.
- Assist in writing, checking, and authorising UCAS references and reviewing students' personal statements.
- Ensure completion of leavers' destination questionnaires and record destination data.
- Attend College Open Days, Information Evenings, and Parental Consultations.

**PPD Tutor Responsibilities**:

- Manage student induction and the absence process.
- Ensure students are on the appropriate study programmes and assist with course changes.
- Work with teachers and curriculum leaders in specific areas to support students.
- Understand and communicate student profile and progress.
- Maintain up-to-date student records and communicate them as required.
- Follow up on concerns from teachers or students and implement the student disciplinary process.
- Create a safe environment for students to discuss incidents and inform them of support processes.
- Plan and deliver group activities aligned with the tutorial schedule.
- Participate in larger-group tutorial meetings on various topics.
- Liaise with parents, employers, PPD Manager, Assistant Principals, and Faculty Administrators.
- Coordinate and produce references.
- Ensure completion of leavers' destination questionnaires and record destination data.
- Share relevant information with the tutorial group.
- Assist students in preparing for their next steps.
- Provide cover for receptions and administrative support for curriculum staff.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Essential skills and Characteristics**
- An appropriate qualification, at least, level 3.
- Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Experience of working with others to set and achieve targets to improve their performance.
- Managing own workload and time management.
- The ability to record, communicate and report on progress efficiently and clearly
- The ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the post.

**TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT**

Tenure of post: Permanent, Term Time Only, 39 weeks

Hours of work: 37 hours per week

**Salary**: £29,943.00 per annum (Pro rata for Term Time Only)

Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme (optional). This is an employee and employer contributory pension scheme.
