Cygnet Healthcare is looking for Night Support Workers to join our team working at Marion House. If you have previously worked or are currently working as a care assistant, healthcare assistant, or support worker looking for a new opportunity or your first role within Social Care to help support residents with all aspects of their everyday life within a care home setting as part of the NHS partnership.

Marion House is a specialist 5 bed residential service for adults with autism and moderate to severe learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective environment, promoting independence and community integration. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do, based on each person’s specific needs Marion house is based in Borrowash which is around a 10-15 minute drive from Derby City Centre with good links via local bus services.

**Your role as a Support Worker at Marion House**:
Working from 07:45pm till 08:00am

**Working regular shift patterns (Week 1 Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun**: Week 2 Weds, Thurs, Fri)
42 hours per week
Key Duties - Promoting the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support
Supporting with activities and daily living and allowing the individuals we support to remain as independent as possible.
Supporting with all aspects of personal care in a dignified manner
Being able to remain calm in challenging situations
The ability to make a difference to the lives of the individuals we support
The ability to support residents on trips and activities out in the community

**What you will need**:
Previous experience working with adults with Autism and Challenging Behaviour.
Preferably hold a full clean UK driving license (although this is not essential for this role)
A can do attitude and the ability to work well within a friendly staff team.
Knowledge and previous experience of using non-verbal communication techniques such as Makaton would be advantageous, however training on this will be provided.
