An opportunity has arisen to join the Frontier team, based at Sandy. We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join us on a permanent full-time basis.
- Experience of working in a Laboratory or similar working environment (desirable)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
- A flexible approach to working hours during peak season
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
- Ability to work on own initiative, making decisions, managing own workload and time, whilst developing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers

**The role - Key responsibilities**
- Analysis of seed and grain for both Frontier and independent third-party customers
- Process vehicles in / out of store
- Testing and grading commodities
- Ensure procedures are followed for grain testing
- Log all samples onto the system and input data
- Carry out research for external companies
- Check equipment is working accurately
- Ensure equipment records are kept up to date
- Ensure all records are accurate and any anomalies are highlighted to the laboratory manager
- Complete the quality assurance plan with the laboratory manager
- Cover the laboratory manager in their absence
- Opportunities for training in other seed-related areas
