**Senior Energy & Carbon Consultant**
**£45,000 - £55,000 p/annum**
**Central London**
Cobalt has partnered with a leading commercial building consultancy in their search for a Senior Energy & Carbon Consultant to oversee their energy performance and sustainability services.
This position will involve working on renowned commercial properties and developments for prestigious Real Estate clients, ensuring they are maximising the value of their assets through their energy performance and decarbonisation services.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work with main clientele to ascertain their energy performance and net zero carbon requirements
- Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to implement energy and sustainability initiatives across site visits and workshops
- Take full responsibility for managing energy performance certification projects (EPC, MEES, DEC, ESOS, etc)
- Perform appraisals of existing buildings and new developments for future investors, with a strong emphasis on MEES compliance and operational energy performance
- Produce reports on the operational energy data for whole-life carbon evaluations
- Assist with the implementation of climate change resilience strategies, and build models to track the performance of developments
- Undertake dynamic simulation modelling to report on environmental assessment's credit requirements
- Support and mentor the learning and development of colleagues in the fundamentals of Energy & Carbon
**Key Skills**
- Prior experience within an ESG/Sustainability advisory setting (preferably within the Real Estate industry)
- Educated to degree level within a relevant field
- Confident in evaluating practical data and engineering drawings from AutoCAD
- Previous experience in delivering low-carbon energy initiatives within an engineering or construction environment
- Expertise in energy modelling and working within the UK energy and sustainability framework
- CIBSE LCEA Level 5 accreditation
- Profound understanding of IES VE, Revit and BIM
- Possess excellent commercial awareness from client-facing roles
